Here Are Some Facts you might not have known, about certain Characters!
Did You Know?
Ashley T is The Quietest of all the ashleys, but when ever she does speak, she sounds just like Gretchen Grunder, in fact, that's exactly who it is! Gretchen's voice over also plays Ashley T, but does a very good job in disguising the voice, 2nd suprise, Gretchen's Voice over is also Called Ashley, (Ashley Johnson), and if you liked the cartoon series "Jumanji" You'll notice That She Also plays P Buddy!(His Name is Peter)
As you all saw, TJ and the gang take on some other kids at 98th street school at the game of Kickball, and there are also look a likes of the gang, but an even bigger shock, remember the episode "Dance Lessons" there are also 4 girls there (Called The "Maggettes"), and believe it or not they are played by the same voice -overs that play the Ashleys and one more thing, i'm sure you know by now, that the Ashleys have that word "SCAN-DA-LOUS", Well.....Get a loada this, the maggettes, have one too, except it's different, what they are really saying is"Lu-di-crous" (I Think That's How You Spell it), While on the topic of look - a - likes, remember those kids from 98th street?, well they were the doubles of the kids @ 3rd street, there's CJ Rotweiler, The leader of the 98th street's Kickball team, CJ is a girl, not a boy , then there's Rigelli, Spinelli's Double, looked Just as tough as Spinelli, then there's 98th Street's Genius, i think from what i could make out, her name is Renate Roubler, but can someone please back me up on this one, cos i'm not sure if i got the name Right, then there's the Scaredy kid of 98th street Rus Rimple, Gus's 98th's Double has the same looks, except Rus is Black, i think if both kids had the same skin colour, You could Never tell 'em apart!, then there's the sports Guru kid Vance, he's exactly the same as In-Vince, the only difference is the skin colour, Vance is white, and then there's finally MICKEY, thats Mikey's 98th street double!
oh and speaking of 98th street doubles, ever notice the 98th street diggers? they're Girls, and Gus really got a scare when he was told to beat it, the Guru kid @ 98th street is black, some of the other kids i'm not sure about, i wonder what rigelli's 1st name is?, and what does 98th street have instead of the Ashleys, maybe the Maggettes attend 98th street school, Who Knows?
A Few Facts from the Creator's mouths - this was a Feature i watched on this English TV show, the show was called Draw your own toons!
When they Drew Gretchen, they actually made her look somewhat like one of their Wives, this is what i can remember, and when i saw the photo they showed the viewers, the Real life face on the picture looked almost like Gretchen.
when it came to the bit about finster, April winchell said that she came up with finster's voice by copying the facial expressions of the finster, and when she did, Voila - The voice of the finster was born!
when it came to the bit about The Ashley's Catchphrase " Scan - Dal - Ous" it was paul Germain who came up with the idea from his Twisted mind, they'd created the Ashleys, and they wanted a word, that meant devious, and scheming, so one day Paul germain said he's got a great word and he said "SCAN-DAL-OUS", they all looked @ each other, and immediatly decided to use "SCAN-DAL-OUS"

Spinelli's First Name is Ashley, and she freaked out when randall said it out loud, (after digging up some dirt in the permanent Records Office), and if you missed it, then you not know why she was named Ashley, She Was named After Her Great Aunt Ashley, who was the 1st woman to win the iditirod huskey Race, i think i'm not sure, and anyway she would never forgive herself if she ever had her name Changed, and have you ever noticed how gruff spinelli's voice sounds, well......she is played by a 30 year old woman Named Pamela Segall, who also plays Bobby From King Of The Hill, and better yet, Spinelli has a middle name, her name is Vermicello, so her full name is Ashley Vermicello Spinelli, This was mentioned in the great episode "More like Gretchen", ok here's the names to some of the last names that i can reveal so far!
Gus' Last name is Griswold, Mikey's Last name Is Blumburg, Vince's last name is Lassal, Tj's Name is Theodore Jerome Detweiler, as you all know gretchen's last name is grundler, and spinelli's 1st name is Ashley, oh and speaking of the ashleys i'll now tell you what the last initials stand for

Ashley B = Ashley Boulais (pronounced Bow lay)
Ashley T = Ashley Tomasian

Did Anyone notice what the Ashleys' moms looked like, in the episode "Parent's Night", sheesh talk about a major role model for their girls, And Speaking of Names did anyone ever know what that hustler kid's name was?, well the answer to that is Francais, he even said it in the Episode "Hustler's Apprentice", and did you see what HK's Dad Looked like, he looked really crafty, tryin to sell that watch to hank the janitor!
but to be really unfair, spinelli's parents just had to turn up that night, did'nt they, and what a job they did in embarrassing their daughter, i bet you all were thinkin "i'm glad my mom & Dad aren't like that!", but like gretchen said, "all parents have their embarrassing sides!
Another thing, anyone know the cartoon "Futurama", well......get a loada this, The voice-over for LEILA (The cyclops girl with the purple hair) is the same person who played the part of FLO SPINELLI (Spinelli's Mom), and has appeared in many other cartoons but i'm not sure which ones, and now for an Even bigger shock, the voice over for Flo spinelli (Katey Sagal) is also a very good singer, she released an album called "Katey Sagal - Well..." and the album was released back in 1994, the pictures featured on the CD case show her, she actually looks like flo spinelli! well as far as the hair goes anyway, but i get the feeling they drew her wearing those clothes in real life, and they took the "Flo Spinelli" character from there!, but i wanna know where the glasses Flo wears, came into things, they could be one of katey's possestions, then again i could be wrong! the songs on her album are:
this album contains no offensive lyrics, it's pretty much easy listening! well since i found the CD in a 2nd hand store, i've pretty much fell in love with her wonderful voice!
here's another fact for ya, the voice over for Miss lemon is a very sassy woman called Tress Mcneill, and she plays several people in several different cartoons, here's a few examples of who,

And now for a few nastys, and the nasty person i mean is Miss Murial B. Finster, she's had her patients tested by the Recess gang, TJ especially, remember when Finster made that stupid box punishment, and TJ went right ahead and pushed her to the limit, oh man that was Great, and have any of you ever noticed that when Finster was in love with hank, her voice doesn't sound so nasty, it sounds more like Lydia Pearson from pepper ann, thats Pepper ann's mom, well, thats exactly who it is, April Winchell plays not only Finster, she also plays lydia pearson, i've gotta dig up a few more names, so be patient
whew, i'm glad thats over, now onto another sort of nasty
Principal Peter Prickly's voice over played the Chief officer in the Walt disney movie Inspector Gadget, i think thats right, and the guy's name is Dabney coleman, that all i can think of on that one.
One last person who looks nasty, but is quite cool is the playground's very own, KING BOB!
King Bob may seem like a jerk in the 1st series, but he's gotten more respectable with TJ and the others as the series has gone on. but there's more, King bob also plays someone from Hey arnold, wanna know who?, well the answer there is Wolfgang, that bullying 5th Grader, not only does he tourment the chocolate kid, but he also Slams arnold and jerold into a garbage pale, what a meanie!
Two last things for now, earlier if you looked at "upside down girl's Profile" Page. well, doesn't she look awfully familiar to Helga from "Hey Arnold" The Outfit the sort of style of hair, but not the attitude, Last one: Francesca Marie Smith also plays helga in "hey arnold"
OK, i'm gonna finish there, that oughta keep you little people going for a while, just until i find out more
